What drew you to Alpha Kappa Psi and what kept you in?
When I was a freshman, what drew me to AKPsi what the business and friendship aspect. I loved that I could be friends with goal oriented, driven, and fun people that I look up to and can learn so much from. It was the best of both worlds. What kept me in AKPsi was the people. I have met some of my best friends that I can genuinely say, college would not have been the same without and I am so grateful for them.

What have you learned about yourself in college?
I've learned that I am so much more capable than I first thought when coming in as a freshman. I wasn't extremely confident in my skills coming in and had a lot of imposter syndrome, however, now am more confident that I can succeed in things and find a career that I'm passionate about. I also learned how to take care of myself in many different ways-- the obvious such as laundry, cooking, etc. but also emotionally and mentally like making the outdoors a priority, working out, and other self-care that I have implemented into my life.

Any advice for current college students?
The best thing a current college student can do is to try everything they are even slightly interested in. Do not spread yourself too thin, however, don't be afraid to try something new or go to a club meeting for something you've always been interested in and never got around to. Talk to people who are older than you and ask them for advice. Go to career fairs even if you're not looking for an internship/ you think that no one wants to talk to a underclassmen (You will learn so much about jobs available to you for the future and how to network) But most importantly have so much fun. Go to the beach often, take advantage of living in SLO, and go to a party time to time. College only happens once and create as many memories as possible. You'll never regret it in the future!!
