Founded in 2007, ODFL works with qualified Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in the developing world to fund and implement such projects as schools, water wells, irrigation systems, sanitary waste disposal, vaccinations, and other simple, low cost projects. These projects have the potential to dramatically improve the capacity for self-sustenance for tens of millions of people.  Since its inception, ODFL has:

Built new schools in Kenya, Nepal, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Indonesia.

Bought 60 desks for primary school in Malawi.

Bought 2 milk cows to feed 120 orphans in Kenya.

Collected and sent 452 bicycles to Africa

Bought 20 piglets to save 20 Nepalese girls from slavery.

WHAT IS ONE DOLLAR FOR LIFE?
One Dollar for Life is a non-profit organization founded to address third world poverty on the premise of collecting one dollar from each of millions of US high school students and then channeling those funds into small-scale infrastructure projects in developing countries.  It was founded in 2006 at Los Altos High School in the San Francisco Bay Area by history and economics teacher Robert Freeman and science teacher Lisa Bolton.  More information about ODFL can be found here, and on their website.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR THE GOLF TOURNAMENT?
You can sign up for the golf tournament using the following form.

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Golf Tournament will be taking place at Dairy Creek Golf Course, at 2990 Dairy Creek Rd, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405.  The can be contacted at (805) 782-8060.

Check in for the tournament begins at 2:00PM on Sunday, June 1st, 2014.  Alpha Kappa Psi will have a booth in front of the Dairy Creek clubhouse.  Participants will have unlimited use of the driving range until 2:30 PM, where instructions and guidelines will be handed out.  The tournament will officially start at 3:00PM.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION FEE?
The registration fee includes the cost for a 2 person team, unlimited use of the driving range before the tournament starts, and a golf cart.  Payments are accepted online.

HOW MANY PEOPLE FROM MY ORGANIZATION CAN SIGN UP?
We encourage organizations to sign up as many individuals as possible.  Please be advised though that every individual must have a partner in playing the tournament.

We will be accepting sign ups leading up until May 26th.

IF I CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT, HOW ELSE CAN I HELP?
If you cannot participate in the golf tournament, you can still help us contribute to ODFL's mission of changing the world, one dollar at a time.  We welcome any form of support, ranging from monetary donations, to items and gifts for the day of the tournament.
