In 1904, at New York University, four determined business men known as the “Brooklyn Four" would walk across the Brooklyn Bridge every night, talking about their dreams and aspirations as future business leaders. That was the start of Alpha Kappa Psi, a brotherhood founded upon brotherhood, knowledge, integrity, service, and unity.

Since its incorporation on May 20th, 1905, Alpha Kappa Psi has been the oldest and largest professional business fraternity in the world. From improving communities to learning lifelong values alongside brothers, the heart of Alpha Kappa Psi rests in the service to the community. From achieving academic excellence to impacting businesses across all industries, demanding higher ideals is a standard of Alpha Kappa Psi. With over 300,000 alumni, we provide our brothers with a network of opportunity, brotherhood, and tools to grow.

Professional Development

From professional speakers, networking events, and in depth workshops, Alpha Kappa Psi provides our members the skills, professional development, and confidence necessary to pursue leadership positions all over the Cal Poly campus and community.  As a professional fraternity, AKPsi makes enhancing our members’ professional skills a top priority in its day to day operations.

Brotherhood

Synergy between members is the heart and soul of every successful organization. Alpha Kappa Psi prides itself on fostering a strong sense of group cohesion and brotherhood amongst its members. Brotherhood to the organization is more than just being able to work well together however- Brothers of Alpha Kappa Psi are there to support each other through any type of situation, and are there to teach other lessons fundamental to personal growth and development. These are the relationships that make members proud to be a part of AKPsi.

Philanthropy

Service is the cornerstone in which we use the skills and talents of our members to improve society.  Our brothers actively give back to the Cal Poly, local, and global community through volunteer activities and monetary support.
